Our small and ambitious team is committed to placing the traditional folk arts of England at the heart of our cultural life.

So many people are excited by the current work and the long histories of the VWML and EFDSS. Our passionate supporters inspire our brilliant team to keep improving. 

The EFDSS and VWML teams love being based at Cecil Sharp House, a vibrant folk arts centre with a library and spaces for hire. It’s a buzzy environment where creativity is valued and proactivity strongly encouraged. Perks of working here include enjoying the sounds of rehearsals while we work, meeting all kinds of visiting performers and groups, and a popular on-site cafe.
