The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) publishes a highly regarded quarterly members’ newsletter, English Dance & Song (EDS).
EDS is the oldest folk music and dance magazine in the world and essential reading for anyone with a passion for folk arts. First published in 1936, EDS magazine has always prided itself on providing information, debate and inspiration.
A trusted friend, that appeals to folk music and dance enthusiasts of all ages, it covers both the professional side of the folk scene as well as grassroots participation, and ranges over activity in all parts of the country and beyond. Packed with articles, interviews, reviews and information, it is dedicated to unearthing the most exciting stories about traditional folk music and dance, past and present, to inform our present-day interpretations and sustain them into the future.
EDS is published four times a year and is sent to all members.
